Is it even a day with the Homies without proper fuelling? Haribos and meat sticks FTW!

2025 - From Idea to Reality
2025 was a big year for okaywego. While the concept of “okay, we go” had been floating around for years, it wasn’t until late 2024 that Uncle G and I decided to stop talking about doing something for the community and actually do it.
On January 1st, 2025 we sent our first email to a small list of homies we’d wrangled together over the course of our adventures. Since then, we’ve been slowly gaining momentum in this… brand? social project? company?
To be honest, we’re not entirely sure what okaywego is yet, but we’re very certain about what we want it to become.
Building & Living
A lot has been happening behind the scenes while we juggle full-time jobs, weekend adventures, and downtime that often turns into a death nap on the couch. Somewhere in between all that, we’ve been working.
Here’s a snapshot of what 2025 looked like:
-
Multiple iterations of clothing orders
-
Ran Riot Relays under the okaywego name (and came in 2nd place)
-
19 Instagram posts
-
Countless adventures with homies new and old
-
117,252 lines of code written (more on that in a bit)
This year mattered because we took something abstract and made it real. The goal for 2026 is to make that reality bigger and better.
Community First, Always
At the core, okaywego is community.
Last year, I started building an app designed to bring our homies together, not through endless group chats, but through shared adventure planning. The idea is simple: instead of scrolling back through Instagram chats or WhatsApp trying to remember who’s bringing the Haribos or the beef jerky, you create an adventure blueprint that holds all the important details in one place. This is a public forum that we call the AdventureHub.

Group chats aren’t built for this. Decisions get buried. Context gets lost. And most of the platforms we rely on are owned by billion-dollar companies that believe the product matters more than their users.
You are not a user, you are a Homie; at okaywego, homies will always come first.
Shipping Before Perfection
The AdventureHub is still in its infancy. There is an ever growing list of ideas on how to make it bigger and better, but I’m not building this for myself alone.
To make something truly useful, I need feedback.
If there’s one thing I want to see happen in 2026, it’s this:
I want you, my homies, to try the app and tell me what works, what doesn’t, and what’s missing. Please be ruthless. That feedback will shape what the AdventureHub becomes next.
I’ve spent countless hours in 2025 thinking and rethinking, designing and redesigning, building and rebuilding. But, at some point, I had to accept that it’s better to release something imperfect and let people use it than to chase perfection for another year.
(psst 🤫 For the best experience, go to AdventureHub and add it to your phone's home screen)
Looking Ahead
The okaywego homies already have a slew of adventures lined up for the year ahead. We’re excited to share what we get up to, but even more excited to see what you do.
This is an invitation to be an early adopter.
To help shape something from the ground up.
And to go, together.
Your homie,
Danielson
You can always count on me for the Haribos 🐻😋
